Managing Positive Behaviour

This practical course, equips childcare practitioners with the skills, knowledge and strategies to promote positive behaviour and confidently manage behaviour challenges as they arise. Learn tried and tested techniques, which will help you to adapt your approach to meet the needs of each child in your care.

You will examine the reasons why children may behave the way they do, applying it to your setting’s situation, looking at various causes and triggers, and then explore some strategies that can be used to manage behaviour creatively and effectively.

The delivery style seeks to allow open and free discussions between staff, leading to a common understanding and agreement on current and future systems and methods. Participants are encouraged and supported to decide upon their own solutions based on the content shared as part of the course. Hand-outs and certificates are provided for all participants.
